Feather edge failing
Hello to all!
I’m continually having a FCP crash – while trying to do something. I have key framed several clips to travel across the screen, rotate, and get larger in scale. A side effect of course, is if you rotate the clip at all, you end up with ” jagged sawtoothed edges” on that particular clip. I’ve heard to correct this, you crop and or feather the edge about 5 to 10 units… and this will get rid of the jagged effect.
Problem is, after I go into to the motion tab and set this up, when the rendering takes place….it will render nearly all the way … then the beautiful beach ball starts spinning and will not stop! And I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I then have to force quit.
I have Final Cut Pro V5.0.4
2g of ram on a Power Mac Duel 1 ghz G4…with over a 100g of extra space.I’m trying to finish a project that has grown to one hour and 52 min – with a lot of motion effects. Everything has rendered, but I can’t seem to get rid of these jagged edges. Can’t seem to find any info anywhere else in the PDF file manual about this – unless I am overlooking it. I’m trying to finish this project before the 27th of November… and I’m stuck.
Thanks to all for any input!
