I am trying to do a simple motion track using the corner perspective pin feature and apply it to an AE type layer. When I apply it to the type layer, the type is being moved to the upper left corner of the window. Any idea why this is happening? It does the same thing when I place an illustrator type layer as well. I am using a mac and AE 7. I hope this is enough info for some help. Thanks.

Try to pre-comp it in a bigger comp with a transparent background.
Then less overall perspective is added to the shape/shape.

Thanks for the tip, but no luck. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Hmmm… AE treats type layers as being the full dimensions of the comp they’re in. Try precomping but reduce the dimensions of the precomp to just fit the text.
