    so there is this green X in all the effects i be using in after effects. at first i thought it was something that after effects wouldn’t render, but when i was done with a test project, there was the green x on my rendered movie, i want to know how i turn this off?

    It sounds like you are using a non registered plugin.

    i’m using the normal plug in that the program comes with.

    You must have the demo version of a plugin installed. What effects are you using in your project?

    i am not even sure about if plugin or what i just went to the presets and added a background presset they all com with a green x what kind of plug in do i need to have for it to work fine becuas ei just installed it.

    A lot of the Background Presets in AE use Cycore FX. The Cycore FX plugins use a seperate installer which is included on your AE installation CD.
