I am trying to import some footage into FCP from my JVC HD200 and When I capture the whole tape, It breaks the tape up into a different clip every time recording starts and stops, and cuts off the first few seconds of each clip. It also will not batch capture off-line clips I have set up, giving me a “stream error” and the few it does capture, it cuts off the beginning. I really don’t know what to do. Please help!!

Video being imported is HD 720P 24P. Im importing as HDV in version 5.1.4 of FCP

This is the way it is by default.

a possible work around would be to capture with d-vhs cap (a free apple app. do a google search to find it)

then buy clipwrap (another google search) to re-wrap it to an hdv mov
