  Still pictures fuzzy in video

  I created a video using lots of JPeg pictures, and in edit they looked fine, but after making a dvd and showing them on a large screen via lcd projector the images looked fuzzy, the motion spots that I used looked fine only the stills looked bad. They are JPeg at 300dpi. They are all at least 2896 X 1944 in size. Some of them it looked like they had motion, say if there were stripes in the picture they would flicker.

  I am using an older FCP4 HD on a G4, switching between a laptop and desktop (don’t have the money to upgrade yet).

  Any suggestions I need top make another one and want it to look good this time.

  If you just went to SD MPEG2 via DVDSP, your FCP sequence has been scaled way down to fit the standard definition screen size. All of those big still images are suffering from dramatic compression and any small bits that are 5, 3, or 1 pixels in size are probably strobing between interlaced fields.

  You are correct in the output, SD Mpeg2 in DVD, so if I understand correctly, take the photos in photoshop and reduce the image size to 720×48- and drop the DPI to 72, would this take care of the fuzzyness and the flicker. Also in photoshop they have a filter for deinterlace would this help?
