  interlacing in FCP from Avid Same as source quicktimes

  G5 running 10.5.4 with FCP 6

  I exported some quicktimes Same As Source 1:! from a Symphony Nitris, and they appear interlaced in Final Cut.

  I thought I needed to update my avid codec and downloaded the Avid LE 1.9 package- still interlaced.

  Any ideas?

  Is it not supposed to be interlaced? What format?

  In the FCP Browser you can manually set a clip to be upper field, lower field, or none. Set your to none before you place it on a timeline and it will no longer be interlaced.
