transitions in fcp 6
Posted by Carlos Tomarchio on September 25, 2008 at 12:33 pmI have FCp 3 and fcp 6 on two different computers. FCp 6 does not have the FXScript DVE’S transitions that fcp 3 has. Is there any way of getting them on fcp 6 or can you get additional transitions to add to fcp 6 from elsewhere,

September 25, 2008 at 1:46 pmThe FXScript DV effects and transitions should be in the plugins folder of the machine that has FCP3. Move them to the corresponding folder on the FCP6 machine.
All the best,
Tom

September 25, 2008 at 1:50 pmHi Carlos,
Just copy the effects from the FC3 Plugins folder and drop them in the FC6 Plugins folder.
However think that those effects are quite old. If I’m not wrong, they can only render in 8b RGB.
I guess is not an illegal operation because both programs are yours.
Cheers,

September 25, 2008 at 8:27 pmHI Tom Thanks for the quick response I will give it a go.To get to the right place I control clicked FCP icon and showded package contents. There was nothing in the plugins folder so i went into resources clicked on English.lproj then into FXScripts where i found the generators transitions and filters along with some RT software enablers. So do I just copy and paste the FXScript folder and place into the same location and my macbook pro FCP 6.
Thanks
