    Hello,

H264 Quicktimes made with Compressor 3.0.3 are generating visual glitches, like this:
    https://www.stealthdonkey.com/temp/h264_error1.jpg

These appear mostly on shots with lots of motion. (This shot is an out-of-focus truck crossing the foreground)

Source video is FCP QT DVCPRO 1080 50i, output is:
QT H264 5000kbps 2-pass VBR, 1280x720p, deinterlaced in Compressor at “Better” (with adaptive details), Resize filter at “Better”.

    I’ve tried with no success:
    – altering keyframe and bitrate settings
    – altering resolution (1080p25 has even worse artefacts)

    The machine:
    Macbook Pro 2.5ghz, OSX 10.5.4, FCP 6.0.4, Compressor 3.0.3.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks for your time,

    Update:
The next day the artefacts are gone! No change to compression settings, but:

    – rebooted
    – changed qmaster preferences to use 2 cores

    Strange, but thankfully fixed.
