• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  sequence renering

  Is there a way to work in a sequence and not have to render every time a clip is moved? The rendering process is really slowing me down because every slight change in the sequence forces me to render again and again.

  Make the sequence settings match the clip settings. What are the clip settings? Check item properties.

  Thank you Tom. I believe it was a corrupt sequence. All the settings matched.

  I copied the clips in to a new sequence, still had the issue. But when I removed the ‘Basic Motion’ and ‘distort’ video attributes it fixed it.

  What are these attributes? How can removing something I never applied fix this?

  Very grateful for you input.

  If those attributes are being changed in the sequence then the sequence settings do not match the clip settings. Check item properties for the clip and for the sequence. What does each say? Please give the details.

  They are identical.

  29.97fps
  1280×720
  HDV720p30
  2.4 MB/sec.
  Square

  on both the master clips and the clips in the Sequence.

  I have never fooled with those video attributes that apparently had an effect on one of my Sequences.
