  Compression!

  Hi,
  I made a 3 minute film of still images of designs I’ve done for a portfolio dvd. I want to burn a disc, so I export the film as a Quicktime movie but when I playback the Quicktime movie it is not playing smooth. It is randomly skipping a little and sometimes stopping. Very frustrating.

  I want minimum compression.

  My setup is: HDV-APPLE INTERMEDIATE CODEC 720p30

  What am I doing wrong here?

  This is because you are working with still and because the codec you are using probably doesn’t give.
  much RT performance. Change the codec to one easier to edit (DV, Proress,.) at least for the editing. When you are ready to export, you can change the codec again to the one that fits you.
  If you go to Compressor from the time-line, the codec doesn’t matter.
  You are working with still, so before exporting/going to Compressor, set render in RGB.
