  NTSC HDV v PAL HDV

  I have a client who wants a PAL HDV master tape for broadcast.
  If the project is filmed in NTSC HDV, and the outputted as PAL HDV will there be any imperfections?

  I’m told that HDV is really seemless to transfer, but if there is any risk of jerky movements or other anomalies then I will go the full PAL route.

  Also assuming that the end conversion is seemless should the project be edited in an NTSC or PAL timeline?

  People accept HDV masters for broadcast? Seriously?

  Well, they have different frame rates. 25fps for PAL and 30fps for NTSC…or 24fps, depending on the camera you use and the format you shoot. So there is that issue.
