  Safe Area

  Hi I have a client that has produced an HD video in Final Cut Pro at 1080 x 1276, can anyone tell me what the safe type are is as I need to put on some graphics.

  From the research I’ve done the safe title area is somewhere between 3.5 and 5 percent of the linear dimensions of the frame. There seems to be no universal standard. FCP’s safe title area is closer to the 5 per cent end of the range.
