  • Does anyone know how to recover files deleted in Final Cut Pro’s “Log and Transfer” window?

I was importing footage in log and Transfer, and I meant to delete one of the captured videos in the bottom plane… little did I know all of my yet un-captured videos in the top were all highlighted. When I clicked delete it deleted ALL OF MY UN CAPTURED FOOTAGE!!!! I really need this footage, it is for work and I can’t go out and re-shoot it. My job might be on the line if I can’t recover it. does anyone know how I can get it back?

Yikes. You can’t get it back. If you delete it from there, it is gone. I just tested this with a card I copied to the desktop. Once you delete it, it is gone from the Contents folder. Not even in the trash. There is a big warning that says this is undoable.

Man…THIS is a danger. Can’t accidentally do this with a tape. Well, I did accidentally degauss a master tape, but that’s another story.

I feel your pain brother. This makes a very serious point about archiving at least twice before any capturing is done. This is the neg. Right out of the gate before you do any thing, get it somepace else. X2
