    Hello,

I am trying to find a way to save time having FCP tied up while transcoding stuff to final cut quicktime files.
First, we get news feeds in various different not native FCP formats like h264 movs. I then put them into FCP sequences and export to final cut quicktimes and then reimport the files to edit with.
The problem is that it takes ages and ties up final cut. It would be great if I could find a way of doing it without using final cut. Is it possible in compressor? I can’t seem to find a way of doing it.
    Any ideas appreciated.

    Compressor > Advanced Format Conversions.

You’ll find what you need in there.

You can use as well MPGStreamclip. The same than with Compressor, you won’t have TC in your converted files.
