  Importing JPG Stills for FCP for 1920×1080 HD output

  I am sure that this has been covered many times before, but I could not find an answer with “search”. I am importing many thousands of JPG stills from IPHOTO and I want to know the settings so I will get full frame 16/9 images. Each image will be on the screen for maybe 5 frames. I plan on exporting the HD sequence to both HD tape and HR.264 for viewing. There are NO moves on the images. Thanks in advance for the proper import setting. I want to view the HD tape on a 1920×1080 monitor.

  Mark,

  They should be at least 1920×1080 at 72 dpi or larger. Do the math, they could be 960×540 at 144 dpi etc.

  If yoiu don’t have big enough images take a look at PhotoZoomPro.

  I have tried importing them from IPhoto using the 1920×1080 setting, but when they come into FCP, they are NOT full frame. They are turned into other aspect ratio because of the square/ rectangular pixel conversion (i think)
