Yes. First time user with the P2 deal. I thought FCP would import the MXF files as QuickTimes but for some reason it’s not, bringing them into FCP as MXF’s. I imported the entire CONTENTS folder….any ideas?

    thanks.

If you’re using FCP 6, then use the Log and Transfer window to open them.

If you’re using FCP 5, then use the Import-Panasonic P2 window to import the files.

right. this mounts the p2 footage. unfortunately not everything is mounting for some reason. my friend who was logging the footage looks to have changed the names of some of the folders…i think that could be it. any idea how to remedy that?

    thanks!

I’m using FCP 6 and have used the log and transfer window to open and view files from am external hard drive. Now how do I now get them into my project file for editing? When I try to import I get an error message, and I tried to drag and drop into the bin or sequence but that doesn’t work either.
