I am working in a 10bit Uncompressed SD 16×9 timeline.
I have 4 video tracks that I am compositing.
Track 1 is an animating bkg.
Track 2 is a product shot with a 4 point garbage matte.
Track 3 is a product show with a 4 point garbage matte.
Track 4 is a logo bug in the corner of the frame.
Both garbage mattes have feathering applied to them.

Here is the issue I am having. When the transitioning into and out of a clip I am seeing the inside shape of my garbage mattes with a different luma value than the outside feathered edges. This only appears on the last frame of the transition. I have tried doing opacity keyframes and using the dissolve transitions. Both seem to yield the same unwanted effect. I am not using any composite blends for the clips, just the normal overlay.

I’m running FCP Vers 6.03, QT 7.4.5 with the AJA LHE 5.1.

has anyone else seen this, and do they have a work around?
