Slow motion in FCP and motion
Does anyone know how to create a slow motion clip in FCP. I have shot in HDV but when i try to slow it down it becomes jumpy. I have tried motion but cannot find the optimal flow retiming feature that is used for slow motion. There is no reference to this in the user manual. Does anyone know the process? i have motion version 2.1.2 thanks

You need Final Cut Studio 2 that comes with Motion 3.

Also there’s a good time plug in Boris Continuum Complete, called optical flow, although it’s kinda pricey.
For variable speed work look a Twiztor and ReTimer, both not cheap either.
