  FCP Audio Slip after capture

  System: G-5 Quad Pro (pre intel)
  FCP 5.1 (latest before 6.0)

  Capturing DVC-Pro HD 720 30

  Audio slipping a few frames by end of 20-30 minutes.

  would it be wise to manually change to 29.97?

  Does the software need to be upgraded?

  All hints/tips are appreciated.

  720p30 should run at 29.97. One thing that I found in capturing 720p24 via firewire from a deck is that my audio is always ahead of video by 2 frames. No drift, just starts out that way.

  You captured 720p30 at 30fps straight up? Should be 29.97.
