April 8, 2008 at 1:42 pm[Peter Wiggins] “Now you can play with it at NAB, not.”
Well, if you can find the secret meeting places or all those booths where Apple will be “displayed” maybe you’ll find. I’m sure Micheal will get some folks to chat about it at the SuperMeet.

April 8, 2008 at 3:50 pmI guess it is still possible, but I don’t think it’s likely that Apple provides any update to FCStudio. They’ve redesigned the FCStudio website to accommodate FCServer and I’m not one to believe that they would update it again in less than a week.
There go my hopes of cool new features and Blu-ray authoring in DVDSP for now. It’s anyone’s guess now when we’ll see another update. Dang, I hate that feeling.

April 8, 2008 at 4:01 pmOh I wouldn’t throw the baby out with the bath water. With Apple making this announcement the week before NAB I wouldn’t put it past them to release something next Monday. They are showing up in Vegas next Monday, just not at NAB. I believe they are having meetings at the MGM.

Seriously, I have no idea what everyone was so up in arms about.
Apple did not stop doing the jig just because they aren’t officially going to the big dance.

April 8, 2008 at 4:18 pmI don’t think they are selling out to Grass at all they make too much money coming out with new software that makes you buy new machines. I wouldn’t put it past them to at least come up with a Blu-Ray DVDSP or Phenomenon (Shake Replacement). Or maybe they are than thinned out in Software engineers that it took all of them working FC Server for them not to come out with anything new this year. We’ll see.

April 8, 2008 at 4:35 pmFinal Cut Server looks like a huge advancement into the multiple edit station collaboration.
If it’s any indication, there’s big things in the pipeline.

April 8, 2008 at 4:56 pmI’m very sure that FCS isn’t going to be sold to anybody guys… for one thing it sells a lot of the pro Macs… for another, it’s a big feather in Apple’s cap to have such a winning bunch of software… there will no doubt be future updates, and upgrades…

April 8, 2008 at 5:05 pmI seem to remember the ability to create simple edits on PC and Mac as a feature.

April 8, 2008 at 5:49 pmYep. Richard Townhill from Apple will do the “first public Demo of Final Cut Server” at the SuperMeet. So get your tickets now if Servers are your fantasy.
Oh, and Apple is going on a world tour and showing off Server and FCS2. Course they are only going to the cool Cities and not Atlanta. Reserve your seats now as they fill up in a week.
