  DVCPro HD Timeline export problem

  I have a timeline with DVCPro HD footage. All the settings in the timeline are related to the footage’s statistics, i.e., pixel aspect ratio, compressor, etc.

  When I export the footage as a QT movie through QT conversion using either H.264 or MPEG-4 compression the video looks stretched vertically. It looks like a pixel aspect ratio problem. If I export using the DVCPro HD compression setting it is of course fine. Is there a setting I am forgetting to change? I just need a small file size for this file that won’t look stretched. Any ideas?

  I am using FCP 5.1.2.

  DVCPro HD is 960×720 anamorphic. If you just export using Quicktime Conversion, you’re seeing the Anamorphic version.

  You really want to export through Compressor to maintain the proper 16:9 raster.
