  FCP HD compresser help

  I am in need of help, I have an older computer and FCP HD installed, (I can’t afford to go new) and when I tried to use the compresser everythings went ok until I hit the submit tab, and then a screen with “CANNOT SUBMIT BATCH, UNABLE TO CONNECT TO BACKGROUND PROCESS” showed up.

  Is there any out there who can help, I would just take it to a shop but I just don’t have the funds to do so.

  The computer is an G4 duel 1.25 processor, I am maxed out on ram, good video card, eveything on the hardwire end is good as far as I can tell, it just seems that I have something screwed up on the software end. I have gone to the apple site and installed all of the upgrades and patches that they have. But this has not helped. The other problem is that when i try to capture, after about 5-6 min it stops with dropped frames.
