    Hello.

i know it is out of the ordinary, but how can i playback from a final cut sequence into another mac connected by firewire (or ethernet cable, anyway it works), so i am able to capture or view what final cut plays out?

If i set playback mode to the external firewire device, it says its missing, and thats normal, since there is no firewire vtr connected…

my boss considers this a valid method for a playout system for broadcast…

i know the professional solutions to broadcast playout, but those are not being considered.

So, is there any way to make final cut a video server, and another mac a reciever?

    Thank you,
    Sebastian Plamadeala

Just output thye Timeline to a “Self Contained QT Moive” and transfer that file to the other Mac.

No need to transfer in “real time.”
