black lines on video capture of xl1 NTSC footage
Hello,
I am capturing using the easy setup for DV NTSC for footage from my XL1 and I always have imported footage that results in an image slightly smaller then the frame size of the sequence. I see the clip has the correct height but it’s width is just a bit smaller then the sequences width which leaves small black lines on the sides. in other words my sequence’s frame size is a bit wider then the actual footage captured. (it’s noticeable before i start editing and when i’m simply viewing the captured clips in the viewer – there too i see the frame is a bit wider then the caputred footage)
(I fix this by simply zooming in on all my clips by 2%. It’s not a noticeable difference at all and then the video fills up the entire frame of the sequence’s setting. but surely this isn’t the solution.)
What am i doing wrong in my setup?-Aviv
p.s. this happens when i shoot in 16×9 as well with my xl1 and i use the DV NTSC anamorphic settings in the FCP easy setup. Same problem – small black lines (empty video space) on the sides of the frame of my sequence.
