I received a HDV file from a PC , just captured with Premiere Pro without any 3.parts product.

I can’t see it in FCP/QT Pro, but it opens fine in Premiere Pro CS3/Mac !!!!

I’ve looked at it in MPEG Streamclip, that also open it without any problem, and can see that it’s a MPEG Transport Stream 1440×1080

It’s not in a format that will work with FCP. Use Streamclip to convert it.

    All the best,

    Tom

Yes, I can do this, but I’m trying to convince a customer to switch from Premiere Pro/PC to FinalCutPro/Mac, but it requires that he can read all his archieved stuff, so that’s why he send a file to test it.

I can stop halfway, and use Premiere Pro/Mac IF that’s the only way 😉
