  • Kevin Monahan’s book for FCP 6?

Posted by David Wheeler on February 27, 2008 at 1:31 pm

I have Monohan’s book “Motion Graphic and Effects in FCP” written in ’04 and am having problems getting lesson project to work with updated version 6. Timeline and canvas suddenly disappear and i can’t get them back when opening and i have no idea where to put Plug Ins folder.
Should i just use this book with my older FCP 4.5 version?

    thanks

Double click a sequence in the Browser to open the Timeline and Canvas. Only way to do this.

Put the plugins in the HD/Library/Application support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins folder.

I can’t tell if it’s up to date, but Kevin has a site at http://www.fcpworld.com .

Drop me a mail. I’ll get you up to speed. It should work fine in FCP 6.

Glad to see the book’s still being used. Not much has changed in FCP since the book was written, so it is still quite valid.
