  4×3 to 16×9

  I have some dv footage 4×3 which i would like to make it 16×9. How can i do it in after effects 7? Thanks

  Make sure the footage is interpreted with fields separated, lower first. Then make a comp using the DV widescreen preset. Drag the footage into the comp, and fit it to the comp width (cmd-opt-shift-H or ctrl-alt-shift-H).

  The footage will now be cropped top and bottom.
  If you want the footage to look unstretched and normal, cropping is your only choice.

  Hi Steve, How do i make sure my footage is interpreted with fields separated, lower first. Can i do this in After effects? Thanks
