I am trying to online a sequence with DVCAM ftg, but I keep encountering dropped frames every time I try to capture a clip, and it might be because I’m trying to import at a higher resolution than possible. Should I be capturing the ftg at DV or DV50 to achieve the best quality?

YOu can only capture dv @ dv quality. You can’t transcode dv to dv50 on the fly via firewire/FCP. If you had a deck and a capture card you could capture at a higher quality codec than dv.

Unfortunately, that’s what I figured. Thanks, Jeremy.
