HELP! Working with wave/multiple audio tracks/sequence settings
OK I’ll try to summarize this as best as I can.
Large project with 17 audio tracks of production audio.
-The audio files are .wav
The project is DVCPro 720 p 60. The audio is 48k 24 bit.
I worked with the material for a long time without any problems. I did NOT have to render my audio at any point. I could hear all seventeen tracks at once without the red render bar.In an act of sheer lunacy. I dumped my three settings files.
(Final Cut Pro 6.0 Prefs.fcset,
Final Cut Pro Obj Cache
& Final Cut Pro Prof Cache)I went to re-open the project. Now in now way shape or form can I listen to all my tracks of audio (unless they are 8 tracks or less) without rendering them first. Any audio edit I do effects the sequence from the in point down to the end, and I have to re render every time.
I’m pretty sure it’s a sequence setting and have been hacking away at it for hours. Any ideas on what would enable me to get this back the way I had it (being able to listen to all my audio without having to render.)
AND PLEASE-I know I shouldn’t have that much audio on the timeline. I inherited this project from someone else and was working with it well up until I insanely dumped my settings. I am resistent to compressing tracks knowing the capability to work with all of them is there and that I have done it, and also feeling like I’m a sequence setting away is killing me!
