timecode and reel data disappear after capture
I have logged two tapes worth of footage in Final Cut Pro 5.1.4. After loading the footage from the first tape (DV via firewire), it appears that all of the key meta data I input while logging has disappeared (i.e. reel number, timecode in, timecode out). The clips have been captured, but when I take one offline and then try to reload it, the system cannot find the clip because it no longer has any reference, and when I look in the item properties for the clips, the “reel” is blank and the “media in” for all of them is “00:00” rather than the actual timecode in off of the the tape. Before loading my second tape, I am hoping to find a resolution so that I do not lose all of the metadata for those clips as well.
I am relatively new to capturing my own footage, so I apologize if there is some easy fix for this that I am unaware of.
