Kiss Kiss Bang Bang effect Is there a template that I can use to create the same effect?

I am currently using final cut and would like to create the effect above…
The footage is from a movie titled “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”
My film is a story about two guys making a movie about two guys
making a movie. The main characters Sean and Rex are sitting on a couch telling a story about a movie they want to make. Before and after we see them on the couch I would like to have a effect created that pulls the viewer into and back out of the story they are telling.Kiss Kiss Bang Bang accomplished this at times by using a film effect of a film projector stoping or breaking/getting stuck.

I’m confused, you say you’re currently in FC, but are you talking about doing the effect in AFX i assume? There are plugins like MagicBullet’s Misfire suite which will do a lot of “film reel” effects.

I only have final cut and am searching for a plug in that does the trick. I looked at magic bullet but it mentions having a projector effect..the effect i am looking for is the visual effect that happens when a film projector breaks down and the film gets stuck in between two frames of footage…one image over the other…there is a visible line between the two images…as if it were a film reel stopped in the middle of a projection.
Does magic bullet have this kind of option?
