Please can anybody help me to set the sequence settings to import digi beta urgent !

probably uncompressed 8bit SD PAL.
Just check the Item Properties of any clip. Set up the Sequence to match. This is quite easy with the Easy Setups.

NTSC or PAL?????
Probably best to go FINAL CUT PRO / EASY SET UP /
Then PAL or NTSC – select the frame rate the footage is at – 25fps for PAL or 29.97fps for NTSC.
Then the slightly tricky one – match the compressor to your footage – blackmagic NTSC or PAL in my case…… But it could have been digitized at a different codec for disk space purposes…. Check the compressor bar in your browser next to the footage – this will tell you how the footage has been compressed.
Then open up a new sequence and it will automatically have these settings…..

and PAL (720×576)field dominace is upper, ntsc(720×486) is lower.. i’d go with a 10 bit uncompressed though 8 bit’s are a little smaller..

if you are working in PAL be sure to check the preset for the 10bit uncompressed – there is an error that sets the PAL setting to use an NTSC codec, which causes FCP to try record incorrectly.
If your video starts jumping around the screen wildly when you try the preset then chances are you will need to edit the settings.
(This has happened to my system everytime i have loaded an update from Apple (they obviously are in ntscland !!)
