    Hey all,

I searched the forum here and found this to be an anomaly. We have three workstations here and all three have this quirk. We lose anything and everything from the “Favorites” folder every single time we close and relaunch the software.

We aren’t trashing prefs or anything like that. I just did a project that called for Trapcode’s Starglow and I have to reopen and insert the presets into the Favorites folder every time.

We are running FCP 6.0.2 on one Intel Mac and two PPCs. All Macs are running FCP 6.0.2 and are on Tiger 10.4.11. This is really perplexing and frustrating.

    Any thoughts?

I just posted down below about the exact same problem…could it be a bug? Today I dragged my favorites into a bin in the project I am working on just in case…I will find out tomorrow if the problem is persisting.

Repair permissions and make sure your preferences are being saved when you close the application.

    All the best,

How do you check if your preferences are being saved?
Does save all not save preferences?

Preferences are saved when you quit the application.

    Tom,

Not to sound completely ignorant, but how exactly do I make certain my preferences are being saved when I close the application? I have gone through the System Setting and User Settings and they don’t get changed every time I quit the application but the favorites do. Is there something else I am missing or a check box I am not, um, er checking? I thought I had everything set up correctly. Please advise. Thanks.
