I am running FCP Suite 2 and Boris Red 4.1.

I have a project that uses Boris transitions. The project looks fine in FCP. When I export to MPEG-2 using compressor it strips the Boris transitions. (All other transitions are from FCP and they are reproduced in the MPEG file.) The last frame of the outgoing clip freezes and it then cuts to the next clip. Does anyone know what I can do to resolve this problem?

    Thanks in advance,

I had this identical problem a couple of years ago with Boris FX. I can’t remember the cause, unfortunately, but it seems to me that it might have had to do with the change to IBM processors in the G4. Nevertheless, I think it only occurred when I exported directly from FCP to compressor rather than making a reference movie first, or vice-versa.

    Chris,

I made a reference movie it worked fine. Strange that it it only has that problem with Boris transitions.

    Thanks for the help,

    Bobby
