  OT-convert optical ourput from g5 to balalced audio?

  Off topic a bit today.
  I’m looking for a way to convert the optical SPDIF output from my G5 to balanced, analog audio. I need to take the optical output and feed it into an analog audio mixer, balanced at +4db if possible. I’d imagine that someone builds a “converter box” for this purpose…somewhere?

  Check out the Edirol UA-25 interface. It’s under $250. There are a bunch of these kind of interfaces on the market. This one is USB powered, but there are also Firewire ones as well.
