Panasonic BT-LH1700W Broadcast?
Hi Gang
Would it be safe to say that the Panasonic BT-LH1700W is a broadcast monitor suitable for motion graphics, color correction and a good general editing monitor? Not too small?

I think it’s blacks are sort of dark grey… but other than that it’s a great monitor. JVC’s Pro LCD”s look much better to my old eyes FWIW.

The blacks are green and SD looks kinda eh in my opinion. According to Walter the new TV Logic is the best.

The TV Logic series, if you can afford it, are the way to go, IMHO. I saw a BUNCH of monitors side by side in an LCD monitor shootout, and TVLOGIC LVM-240D was by far the best. But they start at $8000 for 24″. The second choice is more reasonable…the JVC DTV 24L2D is a darn good monitor, and starts out a bit less…$4695.
The Panasonic is decent, but there are other better monitors, IMHO.

When I first started investigating an HD monitor I was going to get the Dell 2407, then I thought the AC 23 with MXO, now I’m thinking the Panny 17 inch but I think that’s as far as the budget will allow. These other monitors look fantastic but in my price range I think this is the best I can do. I know Walter has previously said it was a decent monitor but would MXO and AC23 be better?
Once again…thanks for the replies and BTW…I’m doing corporate work.
