I recently had to discard my preferences file in my Mac OS X user library. Now, FCP launches but isn’t reading my AJA Kona card nor is it giving me the option to select my Sony Betacam VTR in my Audio Video settings.

Any idea how I can get FCP to re-register my Kona card and my Beta deck?

Probably the easiest thing to do is uninstall the Kona drivers, download the latest, and reinstall them.

uninstalling then reinstalling an updated version of a Kona LS driver worked. Thank You
