  downconvert from HD to SD in FCP to create mp.4

  Hi,

  My question is kind of in the subject heading…i am usually on the old FCP 3 but just finished a project on someone’s HD laptop…they want to put an mp.4 file on a CD-R but mp.4 wasn’t an option in the export menu…how can i downconvert the HD footage and either create an mp4 or similar file?

  Theer are many ways, the simplist being to select an in and an out point on the timeline, choose Export–Using QT Conversion from the file menu, and clicj on Options and sety the various options such as MPEG 4 Video and the output size etc.
