  annoying interlace lines

  Hello!

  I am using FCP5 and wanted to create my first 16:9 photo montage. I’m working on a PowerBook G4 with 2GB RAM.

  The project is 7.5 min, and I set the project for ntsc anamorphic. FCP choked every step of the way. Rendering was forever.

  Now that the project is finished, when I send it to DVD via Compressor, (and I tried every setting) the final DVD has very prominent interlace lines at every movement. Very distracting and very unpro looking.

  What did I do wrong?

  Did you play the DVD on your computer or did you play the DVD on your TV using a set top DVD player?

  The interlace lines show up on both computer and TV. I think I am getting closer to a solution… I generally make a qt movie from the timeline before sending to compressor, because otherwise it would be DAYS of waiting… It is at this conversion stage that I am running into problems. Right now, I am re-sending thru qt Conversion, and re-tweaked some of the settings. We’ll see…
