  Pro res layoff issue

  I Have a 1080i 59.94 pro res HQ sequence and my easy setup to match. Approx TRT 1:30:00:00
  I’m laying off to Digi beta with a Kona 3 doing the down convert and cropping for a 4:3 pan and scan version.
  Everything is rendered and looks fine on all monitors.
  When I drag the sequence to the ETT window it pops up with a writing video box w/ meter saying it will take 4hrs.

  Surely this is not a normal part of a pro res work flow but i can’t seem to make it work any other way.

  Any clues?

  Something is having to be rendered and is probably playing fine in realtime without rendering.

  When you ETT, the rendering MUST happen so you don’t have any problems during layback.

  I would consider this normal. Just let it do its thing.
