  sound off when render completed

  how can i turn off the alerting sound that plays when rendering is completed?

  You can change this in your “Adobe After Effects 7.0 Prefs.txt” file which you can find under C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Adobe\After Effects\7.0

  Go to the [“Misc Section”] in the pref. file. and change the value under

  “Play sound when render finishes” from “1” to “0”

  Thank you for the helpful information! 🙂

  How do you copy and paste a layer with its keyframes into another composition within the same file in AfterEffects? I just did ‘copy’ and ‘paste’ a layer from Comp 1 to Comp 2, but it didn’t work.

  (I’m using a Mac by the way…)
