Problem Capturing
I have a very big problem capturing in my Final Cut out of nowhere. I am using Final Cut Pro HD 4.5
I started capturing a project yesturday VIA Firewire out of a Sony DSR-11 Deck, and after about 6 minutes of Capturing it crashed. I did it 3 more times, it crashed again. I go to look at the clip files captured in the scratch disk folder i made, and each clip it makes after crashing is corrupt, and takes up MORE room then it should. It ends up taking up the REST of the hard drive space every time, no matter how big the hard drive is…..even though its the same length of time. Its the strangest thing.
However, whenever I capture a clip, before it runs for 5 minutes or so….it captures normally. It seems to only happen when it reaches a certain point. I’ve also tried capturing with iMovie and it captures perfectly normally.
I’ve tried using a different deck, re-installing the program, re-installing OS, and even formating one of the hard drives, and nothing works. I am also using the default DV NTSC capture settings i’ve always used. It keeps doing the same exact thing. I have no clue what to do anymore. Does anyone have ANY clue what could cause something like this??
