I’m working on a substancial documentary with upwards of 70 hours of footage, all of which was shot on a DVX100B (in F5–24p Normal–mode). During this process of shooting and capturing, I was using Cinema Tools to reverse the telecine on the clips so that they were 23.98fps. This was working well until I got to my last batch of clips.

Now, even though the clips were shot on the same camera in the same mode, whenever I open a clip with Cinema Tools and attempt to reverse the telecine, the program responds with a status bar, appears to be working fine, but once it’s finished, there’s no new .rev file at 23.98fps on the desktop where I’ve directed it to place the file.

    Any thoughts?

    Out of disk space?

I thought that might be the problem, but I’ve got approximately 170 GB left on a 1,000 GB external drive. Could that really be too small to handle a new mov.rev file?

Hmm, that’d be 13 hours of dv material. Not likely that’s the problem, but as a test, do you have an external drive to try and send the file to?
