XML saves time on title changes
I had to change the font and size, origin and leading of hundreds of text generator subtitles within a sequence.
I had a sequence with the correct styles, and another with the incorrect styles.
I exported XML’s of each, then I searched within a text editor (I like Textwrangler) to find the content of one of the subtitles.
I compared the appropriate tags of the two XML files, then used global search and replace to change all the subtitles in the incorrectly styled sequence.
I reimported the altered XML, and all were changed correctly.
So I pass this along to say you can save hours by altering an XML file, and you don’t have to be a programming wizard to reap the benefits.
