Normally QT display square pixels.
If you want QT display your movie Annamorphic, go to Properties (Comm-J)> Video Track> Visual Setting>
– Uncheck Preserve Aspect Ratio
– Set Scaled size: 1280×720> Intro.
No your image should look as you want.

I didn’t get around to doing that, I completed it last night. For some reason, it finally exported in widescreen, I didn’t make any changes to settings or the export ratio size and it just came out in widescreen. So I’m not sure what I did there.
I’ll have a look at the settings you suggested.
