Does anyone out there have the same configuration that I do. I am using the 8 core with 8 gigs of OWC ram with Radeon 1900XT graphics card also using the Kona AJA LHE. I am editing DVC Pro Hd along with HDV and sd in a SD timeline. I am using the current Magic Bullet Look suite with FX Factory plugins.

I have been posting my Final Cut crash problems here and have gotten some great responses which I appreciate. The problem is that nobody has solved this one. The only other thing I can think is that the Kona Lhe card is not working properly in the 8 core.

I can only render short segments in my SD timeline or it will quit. I have been rendering short 2 min. renders and it works fine, just takes forever because it is a 45 min long program with a lot of effects applied.

Jeff, I didn’t see a response to my question on your earlier post.

have you tried exporting the timeline as a quicktime file instead of rendering?

I had to do that on a project once because it crashed fcp every time I tried to render. Time was running out so I had to export the timeline then make a dvd from that. It didn’t solve the problem, but it did bail me out of potential trouble with my client.
