I have and external GRaid with media and a project file that I created on a MacBook Pro. The media was digitized as Photo JPEG. When I bring the GRaid over to my desktop G5 and open the timeline, I render it and it looks horrible (extremely low res). I’ve been working on the same project and media within on the desktop G5 and the footage look fine. Any suggestions why the material from the edit on laptop looks so ratty when I open it using the G5? One note. The powerbook is running Final Cut 5.1 and the Desktop is running 6.0. Maybe there’s an issue here. Thanks.

WHy are you rendering it? That is a sign that your sequence settings and clip settings don’t match. You are taking compressed media and rendering it into some other format, thus making it worse. Make sure that the sequence settings match the clip setting EXACTLY.

What are your sequence settings that you’re trying to render the Photo JPEG movie files into?
