Mixed Media in SD timeline HELP
We are cutting some spots that will finish DigiBeta for Broadcast. Some 720p footage, 1080p footage, and some 35mm film transfered to DigiBeta.
Since its finishing SD we’re cutting in a Uncompressed 10bit Timeline. Why is it, that when I bring in a 720p clip for example, i don’t get the full resolution of the clip? If the motion tab is at 100% it should be much larger than my 720×486 sequence….right? We’d like to repo some of these shots, and also put small pans across the HD footage, but i have to go above 100% to do this, and i’m losing resolution.
If I do the exact same thing in an After Effects comp, it acts as it should…the HD footage is 1280×720 and clearly larger than the 720×486 comp. Thus far, i’ve been bringing these clips into AE….but I’d rather stay in FCP for it all.
Should i be cutting in a difference Sequence?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
