  24p pulldown with Cinema Tools

  What are the steps to use Cinema Tools to remove the pulldown from footage shot on 24p (normal) (and captured using DV-NTSC @ 29.97 fps) and then edit in 23.98 in Final Cut Pro?

  (I’m doing this in order to apply After Effects / Moving Image to the project after it’s edited).

  Also, what if I’m also combining footage that isn’t 24p (just footage shot on small DV cameras) into the sequences? Can that be edited in the same 23.98 timeline as well? Does anything need to be done to that footage?

  If someone is able, please help.

  Search the Ken Stone website for “24p”.

  The Cinema Tools manual explains it pretty well too.

  As far as going from 60i to 23.976p, check out nattress film effects or revisionfx fields kit.

  I did read over the Ken Stone site, but there aren’t step by step instructions. I’m wondering how, exactly, now that I’ve got all my footage captured into FCP, I go about the pulldown process in Cinema Tools. Anyone?

  You to have to choose an A frame and choose rev telecine.

  The Cinema Tools manual explains is beautifully and it’s short.

  Open Cinema Tools and choose the help menu.
