Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Film menu help

Is it possible to create a menu in Final cut that will appear constantly throughout the playing of the film. I need to present slides with lecture audio but allow the user to click on a menu to change location in lecture at any point. Basically I want a ‘scene selection’ menu, but I need to to be constantly accessible rather than needing to return to the title menu.

    Thanks

The latest version of QT Player displays chapter markers in the lower right hand corner of the player in the way you describe. Other than that, no. FCP isn’t an interactive content creation tool like flash.

The thing is, QT has the ability to do what you want in much the same way flash does. But I don’t know what program one would use to access all the things QT can do. Apple does a ton of it’s website with interactive quicktime, but I don’t know what they use to author. You’d think they might add interactivity to Final Cut one day or something, eh?

Knowing Apple they’ll come out with some other program called Interactive Pro that’ll come with the next batch of Final Cut Studio….And we’ll all yell, yippee…another friggin’ program to learn.
